I’ve been a student of Thiago Barbosa for over 5 years now and I can honestly say he is one of the most caring and passionate Martial Arts Instructors I’ve ever had. I’ve been practicing Martial Arts my entire life, Karate, Kick boxing, Taekwondo and now since the past 9 years, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Met Thiago at the JJFL Team Annual and just so incredibly glad to have another spot open up in this part of town when visiting family and grateful to have another gym to train at while visiting. You can just tell that Thiago and Camila simply oozes passion and love for BJJ and spreading such a great and welcoming environment and community. You can expect some great training partners, very tough and technical rounds, fantastic instruction, and you can really tell that the coaches here are just always excited about sharing their techniques and helping you grow your game. Highly recommend! I was in town for the holidays and found this gym on Google. So glad I did. The normal schedule was disrupted between Christmas and New year but they invited me come to the open mats. Everyone there was welcoming and invited me to roll. I was pleasently surprised by the high level of jujitsu. Afterwards they invited to come back for class. Thanks Newmarket BJJ, Looking forward to training with with.
